Parenting Support Programme

About the facilitator

For parents/carers of children with disabilities and additional needs, this programme focuses on developing resilience within families and positive mental health for parents/carers and their children.


Themes include managing emotions; supporting behaviour; personal power; implementing boundaries; working with anger;  nurturing ourselves; and accessing services and support.


The course provides an opportunity for parents/carers to build friendship and support networks as we share and learn from one another's experiences - acknowledging our challenges and recognizing what we do well.


Programme content combines Family Links Parenting principles + Transactional 

Analysis psycho-educational resources.

The course will be interactively tailored to suit 

participants’ needs.

at Acton Garden Community centre observing social distancing protocols.  

If Covid-19 restrictions change, it will be

offered online instead
