The centre was completed and opened by Councillor Julian Bell and the Acton Gardens Community Board in July 2019.

The centre is managed by London Development Trust, an award winning charitable social enterprise helping to deliver and help other organisations to deliver community services which are of great value and create lasting benefits.

 

This purpose-built centre now provides a new hub for the community, nurturing stronger bonds and a sense of well-being, and emphasises the importance of delivering new activities, events and community focus projects. This approach allows the community to lead and determine its own future.

The centre also relies on the goodwill of the general public to carry on operations and in its delivery of community projects and activities that benefit the residents and visitors alike.
